ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN 

On August 21, 2024, the City Council approved the Economic Development Strategic Plan (EDSP), and its now ready for review!

An Economic Development Strategic Plan is a framework designed to guide community growth by setting objectives and strategies to enhance economic vitality, create jobs, and improve quality of life. It analyzes current conditions, identifies strengths and opportunities, and sets long-term goals for sustainable progress. In Monterey Park, the plan assesses local economic drivers and helps implement strategies for future economic health. Developed with input from residents, business owners, and public officials through workshops, surveys, and studies, it ensures a coordinated approach to fostering a vibrant and resilient community.
