Business Alliance Logo Exciting things are happening for businesses in Monterey Park! The City launched the Monterey Park Business Alliance (MPBA), a new initiative to support and empower our diverse business community.

What is the MPBA?
The MPBA is a collaborative, City-led initiative to empower and support local businesses and foster a thriving business environment. Recognizing the need for a unified effort to support businesses of all sizes and sectors, the MPBA will provide valuable resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy to help businesses succeed.

Key Benefits for Businesses:

  • Networking and Collaboration: Connect with fellow business owners, City officials, and community leaders at engaging events.
  • Education and Training: Participate in workshops and seminars on essential business topics, such as marketing, finance, workforce development, and technology.

Ready, Set, Bid: Your Route to Becoming an LA28 Vendor

This workshop is designed for business owners who have never worked with government contracting and don’t know where to start. We will walk through, step by step, how to position your business to work with the State of California, the City of Los Angeles, and major opportunities like LA28. You’ll learn how to obtain your Small Business certification, register as a vendor in RAMP and supplier portals, and take the first practical steps toward competing for public-sector contracts. No technical background is required—just your business and a desire to access new opportunities.
