Water Supply Issues

If you’re experiencing a plumbing issue that requires shutting off your water, and your house valve is broken or non-functional, do not attempt to shut off the water at the street yourself.
Please contact the Water Utility Division for assistance:

This applies even if a licensed plumber is performing the repair. Only authorized City personnel are permitted to operate the street-side shut-off valve.

⚠️ Important Reminder

• The meter box and all components inside are City property.

• Do not attempt to operate or tamper with the valve inside the meter box.

• If you or your plumber attempt to shut off the valve and cause damage, you will be responsible for the repair cost, which averages $1,500.

📞 Emergency or After-Hours Assistance

The Water Utility Division operates a 24-hour standby service, including weekends and holidays.
For after-hours shut-offs, call the main number. Your call will be routed through the Police Department, who will dispatch water staff on your behalf.

💵 Service Fees for Delinquent Reconnections

These fees apply only to reconnections due to delinquent accounts:

• During Business Hours: $40.00

• After Hours/Weekends/Holidays: $225.00
