The Monterey Park Police Department’s Community Engagement Bureau hosts town hall meetings which are community engagement events where law enforcement officers and community members come together to discuss issues, concerns, and solutions related to public safety.
Town hall meetings allow for feedback from the community on police performance and can help law enforcement adjust and improve their practices to better serve the public.
These meetings play a significant role in building stronger, more trusting relationships between police and the communities they serve and gives the community members a sense of ownership over their neighborhood by empowering them to take an active role in creating safer environments. They are vital tools in modern policing strategies.
