Start New Service
To start utility service in the City of Monterey Park, please visit the Cashier's Office inside City Hall located at: 320 West Newmark Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754, email us at utilitypayments@montereypark.ca.gov or call us at (626) 307-1342
To Establish a New Account a completed Utility Request Form and the following are required: UTILITIES REQUEST FORM
1. Service Address (property address and unit number if applicable)
2. First and Last name
3. Phone number and secondary phone number (if available)
4. Copy of Driver's License and/or Passport (or other government
issued ID)
5. Proof of Ownership or Tenancy (Recorded Grant Deed, Property Tax bill, Loan documents: if Tenant, current Lease/Rental agreement)
6. Meter Deposit ($100.00 or more depending on the meter size)
Payment and account information/documentation must be received before service can be established; Partial applications will not be accepted.
All new services or cancellations take one business day to process. Please keep in mind, the City Hall is closed every Friday, weekends and Holidays
Once an account is established you can visit the below link to make online payments, view your bills, schedule payments, register for e-bill and much more!

PERMANENT MANDATORY RESTRICTIONS
- No outdoor watering between 9:00a.m and 5:p.m
- No watering 48 hours after measurable rain
- No run-off watering lawn or landscaping
- No washing down sidewalk, walkway, driveway, parking or any paved surface
- No washing vehicles unless at car wash or using a hose with a shutoff nozzle
- Irrigation is allowed only 2 days per week (Mon. & Thu.)
The State is promoting conservation through their Save our Water campaign. The website provides tips and guides on how to conserve water. More information on drought conditions can be found at the State's drought website.
The San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District provides rebates for water conservation appliances and equipment. See attached rebate card. The District can be reached at (626) 969-7911.

You can help with water conservation by identifying water leaks: regularly check for leaks in your plumbing, toilets and irrigation system. Look for signs of water waste, like a running toilet or dripping faucet.
If you suspect a water leak, please give us a call and we will send a technician to check the meter.
