National Institute on Mental Health-Child and Adolescent Mental Health-Mental health is an important part of overall health for children as well as adults. California Master Plan on Aging recognizes that California’s over-65 population is projected to grow to 8.6 million by 2030, Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order calling for the creation of a Master Plan for Aging to be developed by October 1, 2020. The Master Plan will serve as a blueprint that can be used by state government, local communities, private organizations and philanthropy to build environments that promote an age friendly California.

Langley Senior Center offers an array of Senior Services. Most activities are based out of the Langley Center, located at 400 West Emerson Avenue, Monterey Park CA 91754. Langley Center is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the exception of program activities and classes as designated.

Langley Center provides a variety of opportunities for seniors to participate in learning classes for personal growth and development. Special recreation events and informational programs are scheduled throughout the year. Activities at the Langley Center include: daily lunch program, fitness programs, free health screenings and case management services.
