On March 13, 2025, at approximately 3:47 a.m., the Monterey Park Police Department responded to the 1100 block of West Garvey Avenue regarding a solo traffic collision.
Monterey Park Police Department arrived on scene and located a vehicle that had collided into a utility pole along the south sidewalk of Garvey Avenue. A male adult was in the driver’s seat and a female passenger was located outside the vehicle.
The Monterey Park Fire Department responded to the location and pronounced the male adult deceased, and the female passenger was transported to General Hospital for minor injuries.
This collision is an active investigation conducted by the Monterey Park Police Department Traffic Bureau.
