[ARCHIVED] Monterey Park to Celebrate America’s Birthday on June 29

Independence Day Celebration June 29, 2024

Monterey Park will celebrate our American Independence Day holiday on Saturday, June 29 from 4–9:30 p.m. at Barnes Park. 

This community event features live entertainment at the Barnes Park Amphitheater plus food trucks. The annual celebration concludes with an amazing free fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Please be aware the fireworks fallout zone includes the surrounding streets (McPherrin, Harding and Ramona Avenues) which will be closed from 4-11 p.m.

Reminders regarding fireworks in Monterey Park:

  • Private fireworks are not allowed at any time in any park.
  • Only Safe and Sane fireworks are legal in Monterey Park, and only allowed on July 4 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Illegal fireworks use and sales can be reported to the MPPD non-emergency line at 626-573-1311.
