On December 19th, the applicant for a proposed data center at 1977 Saturn requested the City postpone its public hearing. A new date is not yet selected.
The applicant’s letter states, “we request that the City Council table consideration of the Project at this time. As a next step, the Applicant will work with the City to provide adequate notice to the public regarding the date and location for the community meeting.”
Based on this request, this item will not be heard at the January 21, 2026 City Council meeting. Community meetings hosted by the applicant are anticipated and will be announced at a later date.
When this item is rescheduled, the public hearing will be noticed and an agenda will be posted on the Public Meetings page of the City’s website at https://www.montereypark.ca.gov/1251/Agendas-Minutes. All publicly available documents related to the proposed project are available at the City’s website at https://www.montereypark.ca.gov/datacenter.
