Five extremely talented and civic-minded women have been chosen to be honored at the Tribute to the Women of Monterey Park ceremony during the Monterey Park Library Foundation’s annual fundraising Gala on June 6, 2014. The honorees will be announced in the June 2014 issue of Cascades and will be feted at the dinner to be held at Ocean Star Restaurant, 145 N. Atlantic Blvd, beginning with a reception at 6:00 p.m. and dinner and dancing at 7:00 p.m. The proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library and by extension all residents of Monterey Park and beyond.
