Saturday, June 28, Fireworks at 9pm
Monterey Park will celebrate our American Independence Day holiday on Saturday, June 28 from 4pm to 9:30pm at Barnes Park. This community event features live entertainment at the Barnes Park Amphitheater. The annual celebration concludes with a free firework show at 9pm. Please be aware the fireworks fallout zone includes surrounding streets (McPherrin, Harding and Ramona Avenues) which will be closed from 4-11pm. Barnes Park is located at 350 S. McPherrin Avenue.
Reminders regarding fireworks in Monterey Park:
- Fireworks are not allowed at any time in any park.
- Only Safe and Sane fireworks are legal in Monterey Park, and only allowed on July 4 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
- Illegal fireworks use and sales can be reported to the MPPD non-emergency line at 626-573-1311.
