About LAMP
Since 1984, Literacy for All of Monterey Park (LAMP) has been a leader in adult literacy programs. We improve lives by providing high quality, learner-centered literacy services to the San Gabriel Valley at no cost. Trained volunteers meet with adult learners in one-to-one, small group, and classroom settings to provide tutoring and instruction.
Our primary grant awards come from California Library Literacy Services (CLLS), and the California Department of Education (CDE) Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act, Title 2 (WIOA II). Over the years, LAMP has partnered with several businesses and organizations to expand services and literacy awareness not only in Monterey Park but the entire San Gabriel Valley.
