Water Tank Cleaning

Periodically the City's water tanks need to be cleaned. This is a regulatory requirement and an industry practice to ensure the highest quality water to your tap. The City of Monterey Park has contracted for this project and has scheduled the cleaning of the water tanks for September 11-15, 2023. 

Work Schedule

Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The cleaning schedule is as follows:

Sept 11, 2023:  

Pine Tree Reservoir-2167 Arriba Dr.

Sept 12, 2023: 

Bradshawe Reservoir- 1001 Bradshawe Pl.

Sept 13, 2023:

Bradshwe Reservoir-1001 Bradshawe Pl.

Sombrero Reservoir-1320 Sombrero Dr. 

Sept 14, 2023: 

Sombrero Reservoir-1320 Sombrero Dr. 

Sequoia Reservoir-746 Ridgecrest Dr.

Sept 15, 2023:

Delta Settling Tanks-2657 N Delta Ave.

There is nothing you need to do. The water tank cleaning is accomplished utilizing American Water Works Association standard practices which assures proper disinfection and protection of the water quality. There is a chance you may experience temporary discoloration or cloudiness of the water quality. The water is safe for all uses. If you experience any discoloration or cloudiness, gently run your tap for a few minutes and the condition should pass.
